Founder of the online mentoring program, Women in Technology Sharing Online, Maria Klawe will describe an effort begun in 2006 to increase female representation in computer science majors. The UW was among the first institutions to join the six-week mentoring program and will host Klawe at a presentation in the atrium of the UW’s Paul Allen Center for Computer Science and Engineering at 3:30 p.m.
