Logo for the Conversation about the Future

The CAF logo was created by UW professor Marvin Oliver. The globe is portrayed from the Pacific Rim. The multicolored stripes represent the diversity of cultures throughout the world. The yellow and purple design is inspired by the spindle whorl, a wooden tool originally made by the indigenous Salish people of the Pacific Northwest. Salish women used the spindle whorl to weave wool into yarn and yarn into blankets.
