Beckman Young Investigators

This program provides research support to the most promising faculty members in the early stages of their academic careers in the chemical and life sciences. In particular, the program fosters the invention of methods, instruments and materials that will open up new research directions.

  • Eligibility: in first three years of tenure-line position with no major awards
  • $600K – $750K over 4 years
  • Projects should be innovative, high risk, and have promise for significant advances in chemistry and life sciences
  • Projects should depart from current research directions; they should not be an extension or expansion of existing work.

Beckman Postdoctoral Fellowships provide $180,000 over 2 years in the Chemical Sciences and in Chemical Instrumentation.
