Batak Expressive Culture

This master's thesis is an examination of Batak (N. Sumatran ) 
expressive
culture. The focus is on the play of architectonic tropes in ideational
structures ranging from cosmology to community layout, architecture, visual
design, music and ritual. The html format is useful in this context in 
order to
better illustrate the multiple relational paths invoved with 
manifestation of
an archtectonic / aesthetic trope.
