Entrepreneurship Is: The Social Impacts and Context of
Entrepreneurship
Entrepreneurship Is: The Social Impacts and Context of Entrepreneurship is an exploration of how entrepreneurship-the creation of new companies and NGOs-fits into the larger social context in which these actions take place. My collaborator (also a UW undergrad) and I are pursuing this line of inquiry by holding interviews with entrepreneurs and activists, culminating in short video works shared via an interactive web experience. In understanding the social context of entrepreneurship, we will interview entrepreneurs and activists in centers of innovation across the world, including Rio de Janeiro, Haifa, and New Delhi. We need the help of CARTAH and the DX Arts program so that we can film our pilot video piece focusing on a Seattle entrepreneur. We will use this piece to secure funding for the larger project. Of course, we will give the DX Arts program credit and thanks on our website and in our video works.
