Beverly Dahlen Interview
Beverly Dahlen is a poet and educator from San Francisco who has had a profound influence on contemporary experimental poetry. She was one of the founding editors of the feminist journal How(ever) and has published a number of volumes of poetry, most notably her on-going long poem _A Reading_, begun in the late 1970s. In this recording, Emily Beall and Paul Jaussen, graduate students in the department of English, converse with Dahlen on a number of topics, including the history of West coast poetry communities, her theories of poetics and aesthetics, and the cultural value of poetry today.
