Slowing Down the Speed of Light
A projector housed inside a sphere, with many holes/cracks, attached to the ceiling is the light source. Each hole casts a replica of the original moving image onto further spheres to be displayed. Periodic waves of fire and snow make up the narrative of the video, while humpback whale song samples make up the spatialized sound element to drive the participants around the space through tracking participant position via blocking light displays. It is meant as an abstract narrative where the songs of whales are the reason for snowflakes. Concurrently, it is an investigation into cinematic globalization.
