Dahuas Wedding, Change in Yishala
This project investigates changing notions of love, affection, sexuality, and changing marriage pratice among young Chinese villagers by providing a documentary account of a uxorilocal wedding between a well-off Yi bride and a poor Han groom in Panzhihua, P.R. China. Based on an ethnographic field research conducted in 2005-2006 on migration and industrialization, about 28 hours of video footage were collected, from which a final 40 minute or so film will be made.
