This is an informal research project to capture an oral
history of the biotech and biomedical industry in the Seattle area.
The Washington Biotechnology and Biomedical Association has invited
Bruce Montgomery, Stewart Parker and Bruce Carter to discuss the
history, status and future of the biotech and biomedical industry in
Seattle, with particular emphasis on UW-spin offs.  A video record of
the discussion (held Dec 15 from 5-7 PM at the Rainier Club, Seattle)
will be of interest to students in the business school and to faculty
exploring industry collaboration or entrepreneurship based on UW
intellectual property.  A copy will be made available to the event
host, which they may make available in whole or in clips on their own
website (www.washbio.org).
