Mountain Reflection
This piece is my first attempt at creating a moving picture. It will be a single shot, meant to be diplayed on a wall, as a photograph is hung. The image itself will be a small constructed landscape, a mountain range, reflected in a pool of water. The reflection will be disrupted and allowed to still continuously. My intention is to subvert scale to create an illusion. It isnt important to me that the viewer thinks that the thing she is looking at is real, but that the thing is close enough to reality to represent it. In this way the viewer is allowed to imagine the distortions acting on the constructed landscape as acting on the real landscape.
