Digizing Historical Photographs from Vietnam
As adjunct to my continuing research on Vietnam, I will scan and catalog approximately 50-60 black and white negatives taken in Vietnam in the 1930s, 40s, and 50s. These photos depict individuals and small groups of people in urban settings, in photography studios, and in villages during colonial times and during the period of American military intervention there. A small number of these photos depict Vietnamese nationals in Eastrn Europe where they studied or were employed as guest workers.
