bruiser

bruiser is a proposed short film that is my attempt to
aesthetically reconcile the disparity between my moral repulsion to
violence and my simultaneous fascination with it--my bloodlust, if
you will. This aesthetic battle will be played-out through a
highly-stylized, noir-ish tale about bottom-rung thugs (bruisers)
slugging it out over a MacGuffin. The 10-page draft I currently have
written asks questions about our perceptions of art, pornography,
violence, media dissemenation, and audience points-of-view.
