Burke Museum Oral History Project
This is a continuation/conclusion of a previous CARTAH project. Project coordinator Hollye Gunter needs to edit audio and video recordings to complete an oral history project at the Burke Museum. Once edited, the recordings will become part of the museum's permanent collection and will be used immediately for online education and in-house research. At the CARTAH lab, I will need equipment and assistance for: 1. Transferring Sony mini disc recordings to a PC format, editing for improved quality, and dividing recordings into tracks (preferably with Spark LE and/or SoundForge). 3. Transferring digital video cassette recordings to a PC format, editing for visual quality, and dividing into tracks. 4. Transferring audio cassette tape recordings onto a PC format, editing for improved quality, and dividing into tracks. 5. Burning each of the above formats onto CDs. I appreciate the continued assistance of CARTAH in completing this project.
