Exploration of multi-track recording of a chamber ensemble

Along with Lynne Harris (M4 in the MD/PhD program) I wish to
explore the various configurations of microphones to find the optimal
setup in terms of balance, ambient/reflected sound, and timbre. My
brass quintet (including Lynne and three unaffiliated individuals)
will serve as the sound source, and I will learn to post-process
multi-track digital audio on the computer. I am also learning Pro
Tools on my own, so this experience will be a valuable and
complementary.
