8 South Pilot Episode

This is a pilot episode that will hopefully be the basis of a
situation-comedy set at the University of Washington. The episode has
been written, and will be produced and acted in, entirely by students
of the University. The ambition is to develop the series for showing
on UWtv, but barring this it would be made available online for no
charge and heavily promoted on campus.

The response among the student populace to this project has been
overwhelmingly receptive already, and virtually everyone who hears of
it wants to know how they can help. In a school with essentially no
film and television production program, I believe the series will
become a valuable outlet for creatively oriented students to explore
a field they perhaps had not seriously thought of before.
