Three Lessons

Three Lessons
is a 20 minute mixed media short film that follows Jason (white, American,
over-expressive, storyteller) who meets the girl of his dreams, April
(Chinese, reserved, painter).  The only problem is, she can't speak any
English...

The story explores themes of communication, art, and love while
challenging formal and structural approaches to narrative.  Using a
variety of audio and visual media, non-linearity, split screen, direct
address, and other techniques--this project attempts to embed the major
theme of artistic communication within it's own presentation.
