Early Buddhist Manuscripts Project

The task of the EBMP, headed by professors Richard Salomon and
Collett Cox, is the study and publication of the corpus of early Buddhist
manuscripts in the Kharosthi script and Gandhari language that have been
discovered in Afghanistan in recent years.  We request use of the CARTAH
lab in order to facilitate the development of a PostgreSQL / PHP website
with Unicode support and XML features (http://depts.washington.edu/ebmp/)
in order to present a lexical database of Gandhari to other project
members and the public.  There are several contributors to this technical
side of the projects.
