Video soundtrack project

I want to transfer a 3 min long movie scene from a video cassette
onto the computer.  Then I plan on editing the scene (slow motion).  
Finally, I plan on overlapping a different soundtrack onto the movie
scene.  This project is for Jamie Walker's Art 120 (Issues and Influences)
class.
