The Spring Celebration of Service and Leadership is a yearly event that allows students to showcase their work and learning related to service and leadership experiences. Students across the UW Seattle campus will display and speak about their work. Students, faculty, staff and community members are invited to engage these students to learn more about their projects and the experiences gained during the year.
Each year on the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday, University of Washington students, faculty, staff, alumni, friends and family participate in a national day of service. Together, we deepen and localize the 20-year national tradition and “make it a day on, not a day off.” The Day of Service begins with an inspiring and community-building Kick-Off Event — an opportunity to connect with fellow volunteers over refreshments, honor Dr. King’s legacy, and participate in meaningful conversations at this event. After the Kick-Off, join friends and colleagues to make a difference at a local nonprofit organization.
