A Service-Learning Self-Placement allows students to complete their service-learning at a non-profit, community-based, or government organization at which they already have a pre-existing volunteer relationship.
Students who plan to complete a service-learning self-placement must complete a Self-Placement Form. For Autumn Quarter, SELF-PLACEMENT FORMS ARE DUE WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 9.
In order to be approved for a Self-Placement:
- Have a conversation with your course instructor to ensure the self-placement meets the learning goals and objectives of your service-learning class.
If your self-placement form is accepted by your course instructor, you will receive an email from the Carlson Center confirmation you are registered with your self-placement no later than Wednesday, October 16.
If your self-placement is declined by your course instructor, you will receive an email from the Carlson Center indicating why the form was declined and allowing you edit and resubmit your form.
