A Service-Learning Self-Placement allows students to complete their service-learning at a non-profit, community-based, or government organization at which they already have a pre-existing volunteer relationship.
Students who plan to complete a service-learning self-placement must complete a Self-Placement Form. SELF-PLACEMENT FORMS ARE DUE WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 19.
In order to be approved for a Self-Placement:
- Have a conversation with your course instructor to ensure the self-placement meets the learning goals and objectives of your service-learning class.
When your self-placement form is accepted by your course instructor, you will receive an email from the Carlson Center confirmation that you are officially registered to use your self-placement toward the service-learning component of the course. You should receive this confirmation email no later than Wednesday, December 3.
If your self-placement is declined by your course instructor, you will receive an email from the Carlson Center indicating why the form was declined and allowing you edit and resubmit your form.
