Carlson Leadership & Public Service Center
As a member of the service-learning team, David plays an active role in developing service-learning opportunities and orienting and preparing students for community engagement through service. David serves as a liaison to the School of Social Work’s undergraduate program, the Robinson Center for Young Scholars, and International Specialized Programs. In addition, he is active in the curriculum development and facilitation of the Carlson Center’s community-based leadership courses.
Having previously served as the Carlson Center’s coordinator of community partnerships for three years, David is deeply committed to building authentic and mutually beneficial partnerships between community organizations and the University of Washington.
An MSW candidate in the University of Washington’s School of Social Work, David has previously worked with Lifelong AIDS Alliance, AmeriCorps VISTA, and Lutheran Volunteer Corps. In his limited free time as a graduate student, David enjoys good coffee, long runs, and company and conversations with good friends.
