Public service opportunity: Lead Children’s Enrichment Activities

Position title: Lead Children’s Enrichment Activities (ages 0-5 years)

Name of organization: Neighborhood House

Position description: We are seeking volunteers who can lead enrichment activities for children aged 0-5 years. These activities will be designed to keep the children entertained and cared for while their parents attend an ESL class, occurring at the same time.

Childcare is a common barrier for parents who are seeking support services. Our ability to provide this service to parents during this time is an important resource that gives them the opportunity to pursue their own goals for language improvement.

Classes are Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Volunteers in this role should be able to consistently commit to one volunteer shift per week.

We’re open to a variety of programming ideas (yoga, music, dancing, arts & crafts, etc.), so if you have activities that you like to lead with kids, we’d love to hear from you!

Skill requirements:

– Ability to lead activities with children aged 0-5 years.

– Genuine interest in the learning and development of children

– Ability to work with diverse communities

Start date: ASAP

End date: Ongoing
