Public service opportunity: Camp Volunteer / Counselor

Position title: Camp Volunteer / Counselor

Position description: Are you interested in making an impact on the life of someone living with or affected by HIV/AIDS?

REACH fosters a safe community for children, families, and young adults affected by HIV, strengthening them in hope against persistent stigma. Our core values describe the culture of REACH gatherings:

Counselors are paired up with 3-5 campers for full days of fun activities. REACH Camp is life changing for those who attend, counselors and campers alike! Join us!

Time commitment: Friday, August 31, 9:00AM through Monday, through September 3, around 1:30

Skill requirements:

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Enthusiasm, energy, and interest in children/teens
  • Flexibility and willingness to adjust with a positive attitude
  • Ability to partner with a diverse range of people in a team environment
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Commitment to the values and mission of REACH
  • Attend a Saturday morning training prior to Camp

Start date: August 31 (plus training on Aug 4 or 18 in Tacoma)

End date: Monday, September 3

Location: 1 hr North of Seattle (location not disclosed publicly)
