Public service opportunity: Seeking an iOS Developer Intern for Fashion Technology Startup

Position title: iOS Developer Intern

Name of organization: Embolden App

 

Embolden, a startup with the goal of optimizing the fashion discovery and purchase process experience, is seeking a programmer to assist our development team. As retails continue to decline and e-commerce rises in popularity, the need for a streamlined fashion experience grows. In a 15 billion-dollar market that is growing, Embolden aspires to become the leader in fashion organization and purchases.

Responsibilities….

  • Fixing small front-end bugs
  • Comparing app’s current UI against intended UI in Zeplin (UI and frontend development collaboration tool), and tweaking current code to meet UI expectations
  • Determining and writing tasks on our agile board for our developers to tackle

Logistics…

  • Can work from home regularly
  • Approximately 10 hours of work per week but can be flexible in range of 6 -18 hours per week depending on desired credits earned
  • Weekly phone call check-ins with our lead developer

We are looking for someone that….

  • Has experience in Objective C and/or Swift
  • Is familiar with xCode
  • Has an eye for detail
  • Is a self-starter and motivated learner
  • Works in an efficient manner
  • Is not afraid to take initiative and ask for help when needed
  • Can communicate effectively with our development team

Start date: Jan 3, 2018

End date: March 10, 2018
