Position description:

Coaching

Young Adult Services is in search of professionals from the community to become Career Coaches for young adults striving to gain independence and stability.  The program is focused on improving the employment outcomes (both short and long-term) of homeless and at-risk youth.  Thus, we need volunteer coaches to meet with young adults (ages 16+) one-on-one or in a group-setting to share information about their professions, provide support in helping young adults progress and achieve their employment-related goals, and, most importantly, be willing to learn, listen, and laugh.

Internships

Youth participants in Career Coaching are aided in finding and attaining internships within career fields of interest.  Coaches work with participants to help participants apply to and be successful in internship positions.  Volunteer positions offered by coaches can be utilized as internships in certain circumstances.  Please contact the program coordinator for details.
