Northshore YMCA – Summer Lunch Program

The Northshore YMCA joins numerous organizations to sponsor a meal site that provide children, 18 years and younger, a nutritious meal. The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) is a Federal nutrition assistance program for children who lack access to the school’s free or reduced cost meals during summer months.

 

Job description

The Northshore YMCA is seeking site leaders to oversee the Summer Lunch Program at Kenmore City Hall or First Lutheran Church in Bothell. The program will run Monday – Friday (10:30 am – 2:00 pm) from Wednesday, July 6, 2016 – Wednesday, August 31, 2016. The site leader will be in charge of overseeing a summer lunch site and working with volunteers to help serve free meals to kids during the summer months. The site leader is responsible for receiving and distributing meals at each site and for seeing that all program rules and regulations are followed. The site leader along with volunteers will provide fun games and activities for children who attend each summer lunch location. Site leader will have direct support from Northshore YMCA Staff.
