Position description:

New Beginnings mission is to provide shelter, advocacy and support for battered women and their children; and to change attitudes and social institutions that foster and perpetuate violence.

 

New Beginning’s Help Line operates 24/7 and is a resource for those experiencing intimate partner violence.

 

Open Shifts include: Tue. 9-1, Th. 9-1 or 1-5, Fri. 9-1 or 1-5

 

Offer callers experiencing domestic violence emotional support, resources, and safety planning. Orientation and Training is provided. We require prior customer service, advocacy or social services experience and an eagerness to learn the advocacy based counseling mode.

 

We require a one-year commitment, one four-hour shift per week.
