Arc of King County Ambassador Latino Workshops

Childcare volunteers needed at the The Arc of King County Ambassador Latino Workshops.

The workshops are for parents of children with intellectual and developmental disabilities to learn more about the disability system.  Meanwhile, in a separate room we will provide childcare while the parents are learning.  This is a 9 workshop series starting in August, 2014 and ending in March 2015.  The children who attend range in age from babies through early teens, some have disabilities some do not.  We hope to find 4 or more volunteers who are able to commit to all 9 sessions.  Below are the dates.  All sessions are on Saturdays from 8:30-12:30 at the 2100 Building in South Seattle.  If people cannot commit to all 9 sessions but can come for most of them, I’d still love to connect with them to see if we can work something out.

Volunteering with The Arc is a great way to complete required volunteer hours for school, add experience to a resume, and develop positive relationships with a non-profit who can write letters of recommendation or serve as references for jobs.\
