Volunteer with Democratic Outcomes

Interested in getting hands on experience in community organizing and public outreach?

Then Democratic Outcomes has a unique opportunity for you!

You will be volunteering with the PR and distribution firm Democratic Outcomes in our exciting new project with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in distributing LifeLine mobile phones in the greater King County area of Washington. LifeLine is a government program where qualified households (either on food stamps, Section 8 housing ect) can receive a free cell phone service with limited data.

You will gain essential organizing experience as your volunteer duties will range from coordinating with local community centers to directly helping qualified applicants register for LifeLine.

Skill requirements:

-Charismatic personality

-Attention to detail

-A strong passion for volunteer service and governmental assistant programs.

Time commitment:15 hours/week

Start: Early August         End: Early December

Location:Varying community centers throughout the Greater Seattle Area
