Current Status

Calls to UW-IT eFax customers are not going through

UW Information Technology is continuing to investigate an issue which began 1:30pm on 04/24, relating to an inability to receive inbound faxes.

A telephone carrier issue continues to prevent fax/modem calls from reaching some numbers for UW Campus, UW Medicine eFax and RightFax customers. UW-IT Engineers are monitoring the issue with the carrier.

UW-IT Engineers are working on a resolution, but we currently do not have an estimated time to restore service.

Changes to email forwarding are not fully propagating

UW Information Technology is aware of an issue that is causing changes to email forwarding to not fully propagate within Proofpoint. This is resulting in some mail going to the old destinations and some going to the new destinations.

The Proofpoint vendor deployed a fix for this issue at 4:00 pm on 4/23. UW-IT Engineers actively monitored for confirmed resolution and found that the solution that Proofpoint deployed did not work.  

We have been notified that Proofpoint plans to try again with their system update at 4:00pm today (4/24) and UW-IT engineers will monitor again to confirm resolution to this problem before resolving this incident.

The next update will be provided at 12:00 pm on Thursday 4/25/2024 unless more is known earlier.
