Northcom Telephone Features
To answer a call:
- Lift receiver.
- Press left side of incoming line button.
To place a call:
- Lift receiver (optional).
- Press outgoing line button.
- Dial telephone number.
To put a call on hold:
- Press [HOLD] once.
To put a call on exclusive hold:
- Press [HOLD] twice.
To transfer a call:
- With caller on line, press line button once.
- Wait for dial tone.
- Dial next number.
- Wait for answer.
- Announce transfer and hang up,
or,
If busy or no answer, slowly press line button twice to return to
original caller.
To conference a call:
- With caller on line, press line button once.
- Wait for dial tone.
- Dial next number.
- Wait for answer.
- Announce conference and stay on line.
- Press same line button again to add original
caller.
To use Speed Dial:
- Last Number Redial
- Press [*].
- Wait as system dials last number called.
- Personal Speed Dial Numbers
- Press the appropriate Speed Dial button.
- Wait as system dials pre-programmed speed dial number.
- System Speed Dial Numbers (Shared Dial Codes 90-99)
- Press two-digit Speed Dial code.
To program Speed Dial:
- Personal Speed Dial Numbers
- Lift receiver.
- If you want this speed dial button to always connect via
a specific line, select that line.
- Press [ICM].
- Press [#].
- Press a grey Speed Dial button.
- Dial telephone number.
- Hang up.
- System Speed Dial Numbers
- Shared Dial Codes must be in the range 90-99.
- Programming can only be done at set #70.
- Lift receiver.
- If you want this speed dial button to always connect via
a specific line, select that line.
- Press [ICM].
- Press [#].
- Enter selected Speed Dial number (90-99).
- Dial telephone number.
- Hang up.
To change a programmed number:
- Follow the instructions for programming a
Speed Dial number.
- Insert the new number
- Hang up.
To clear a programmed number:
- Follow the instructions for programming a
Speed Dial number.
- Do not insert a number
- Hang up.
To use Optional Night Ring:
- To activate
- Go to set #70.
- Lift receiver.
- Press [ICM].
- Press [#][8][3][1].
- To deactivate
- Go to set #70.
- Lift receiver.
- Press [ICM].
- Press [#][8][3][0].
NOTE (on Optional Ring):
- Specific pre-designated sets may ring at alternate times when
programmed to do so.
