Campus Dial Tone (CDT) Features
Dialing Instructions:
To call another UW extension:- Dial [5-digit extension].
- Dial [9] [10-digit number].
- Dial [9] [1] [800] [7-digit number].
- Dial [77] or [9].
- Listen for dial tone.
- Dial [1] [10-digit number].
- Dial [authorization code].
- Dial [9] or [77].
- Listen for dial tone.
- Dial [011].
- Dial [country code].
- Dial [city code] (omit 0 if first digit).
- Dial [local number].
- Dial [#]. (NOTE: Do not dial # if international number - excluding 011 - is 12 digits).
- Dial [authorization code].
- Dial [9] [0] [area code] [7-digit number].
- After the tone, dial [calling card number].
CDT Standard Features:
Call Transfer-
To transfer a call to another extension or outside
number:
- Press [TAP] or [Recall] or [switch hook].
- Dial the number to where call is being transferred.
- Hang up to transfer call, or, if line is busy, press [TAP] or [Recall] twice to return to caller.

To add a second party to your existing telephone
call:
- Press [TAP] or [Recall] or [switch hook].
- Dial the number of the party that you wish to add.
- Press [TAP] or [Recall] or [switch hook].

To automatically redial the last number you
dialed:
- Dial [#9].
CDT Optional Features
Call Forwarding All Calls-
To temporarily redirect all calls to an extension or
outside number:
- Dial [*72].
- Listen for dial tone.
- Dial [5-digit number] or [9] [10-digit number].

To cancel Call Forwarding All Calls:
- 1. Dial [*73].

To park an incoming call at your extension (for
retrieval at any extension):
- Press [TAP] or [Recall] or [switch hook].
- Dial [*53].
- Listen for a confirmation tone.
- Hang up.

To return to a call parked at your extension from any
other phone:
- Dial [*54].
- Listen for dial tone.
- Dial [5-digit extension number that parked the call].

To answer a call ringing at another extension:
- Dial [*55] to connect to a ringing call.
If you hear a beep while talking on the phone, it indicates a second call is waiting.

To answer a waiting call and to alternate between
calls:
- Press [TAP] or [Recall] or [switch hook].

To turn off Call Waiting prior to making a call that
you do not want interrupted:
- Press[TAP] or [Recall] or [switch hook].
- Dial [*70].
NOTE: When you hang up, the Call Waiting feature is re-enabled.

To place a call using a personal speed calling
code:
- Dial [#1].
- Listen for dial tone.
- Dial [speed code] (1 through 9).

To program an outside number, extension, or feature
code into a personal list:
- Dial [*751].
- Listen for dial tone.
- Dial [speed code] (0 through 9).
- Dial the number that you wish to program.
- Dial [#].
Beeps heard before dial tone indicate new voice mail messages.

To call the voice mail system to retrieve
messages:
- Dial [211].
- When prompted, enter your personal mailbox password.
- Follow the menu prompts to retrieve messages.

To activate immediate voice mail coverage:
- Dial [#379].

To cancel immediate voice mail coverage:
- Dial [*73].
