Headset and Adapter Vendors for UW Phone Systems
This information can assist you with obtaining headsets and adapters for your UW phones. These guidelines and vendor recommendations are based on testing done by the UW Technology Service Center and feedback from our customers. Included are vendor recommendations for both corded and wireless headsets. All listed vendors carry corded headsets. For those that include the "wireless" note, we have specifically reviewed their wireless headset offerings.
NOTE: Telephone headsets, including wireless, formerly billed to UW departments are now the property of the departments. When purchasing new equipment, the department is responsible for:
- The equipment's reliability and suitability for departmental needs.
- Ensuring that the equipment is compatible with existing UW Technology equipment that the department may use either currently or in the future.
- Ensuring that the equipment conforms to all university-wide UW Technology Service Center policies as posted at https://www.washington.edu/cac/care/misc/policy.html

- GBH Communications - Wireless and corded. Plantronics headsets and accessories can be purchased directly from GBH Communications. We recommend contacting Nicole Jubie with GBH (425-803-1876 ext. 8604, njubie@gbh.com). When you call, please ask to talk to Nicole Jubie at extension 8604 to evaluate different options. Be sure to mention that you are from the University of Washington, in order to obtain state pricing.
