Recent partnerships include:
2007
- Through Arts UW, the Burke has joined with Center for Digital Arts and Experimental Media, Dance Program, Henry Art Gallery, Meany Hall for the Performing Arts, School of Art, School of Drama, School of Music, and UW World Series, to promote the arts on the UW campus.
- Mountaineers Books has joined forces with the Burke Museum to present three environmental photography exhibits that grapple with some of the greatest conservation issues of our time, including habitat protection and global warming. Yellowstone to Yukon: Freedom to Roam is the first of the three planned exhibits.
- Over 20 community organizations joined the Burke as partners for the Yellowstone to Yukon exhibit, helping to raise awareness of the exhibit and its important conservation message: Blue Earth Alliance, Boreal Songbird Initiative, Conservation Northwest, EARTHJUSTICE, East Lake Washington Audubon, Environmental Education Association of Washington, Federation of Western Outdoor Clubs, King County Library System, National Parks Conservation Association, North Cascades Grizzly Bear Outreach Project, Northwest Trek, Olympic Forest Coalition, Program on the Environment, UW, Save Habitat and Diversity of Wetlands (SHADOW), Sierra Club, Tacoma Photographic Society, The Mountaineers, Washington Alpine Club, Washington Wilderness Coalition, Washington Trails Association, Woodland Park Zoo, Yellowstone to Yukon Conservation Initiative.
- Seattle Parks and Recreation Department and King County Wastewater Treatment Division teamed up with the Burke Archaeology Division to present a day of tours and educational activities at Archaeology Day in Discovery Park, October 2007.
- Seattle Aquarium educators partnered with the Burke to present hands-on activities and public demonstrations at Meet the Mammals 2007 and opening day for In Search of Giant Squid.
- Northwest Trek has collaborated on cross-promotional opportunities with the Burke Museum for Meet the Mammals and Yellowstone to Yukon: Freedom to Roam.
- Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium has partnered with the Burke to cross-promote In Search of Giant Squid.
- Pacific Science Center and the Burke Museum have exchanged promotional opportunities, collections, and staff expertise through various collaborations including the Burke's annual Bug Blast and the Pacific Science Center's Colossal Fossil exhibit and Sea Monsters 3D IMAX film.
- Woodland Park Zoo and the Burke collaborated online with web-based cross promotional opportunities for Dinosaur Day and Yellowstone to Yukon.
- University of Washington Program on the Environment presented a public lecture series in the 2007 Fall quarter, inspired by the Burke exhibit Yellowstone to Yukon: Freedom to Roam.
- King County Library System collaborated with the Burke to promote reading and inquiry in the natural sciences among children, by cooperative marketing, including developing bookmarks and bibliographies for Yellowstone to Yukon and In Search of Giant Squid.
- KCTS 9 Public Television has partnered with the Burke to promote nature programming through the Burke's Meet the Mammals event and KCTS' Nature series.
- KUOW donated a media sponsorship to the Burke for radio promotion of Meet the Mammals
