Come to Homeschool Day at the Burke Museum! Bring your students and family to explore the museum's natural history and culture galleries.

Join Education staff to learn about Washington States people and their history!

Ethnobotany – Biodiversity Lab & outside

Plants and people, how do they connect? Join museum educator Maureen Carlisle to learn about important plants of the Northwest in a hands-on activity.

11:15 – 11:45 am
What is Archaeology? – Discovery Lab

Interested in learning about people who came before us? Join Burke educator Gloriann Glenn to discover what archaeologists study, and become a junior archaeologist!

11:45 am – 12:15 pm
Lunch in the Burke Room - bring your own

12:30 – 1:00 pm
Salmon & Fishing in the Northwest – Burke Room

Salmon are a vital resource both to the Native and fishing communities in Washington State. Join Educator Dana Beaudry to learn about the biology of Salmon, and NW Coast fishing techniques.
