All things buggy! Ciscoe Morris returns with his energetic appreciation for bugs in the garden. Feed your fascination when thousands of specimens—dead and alive—are on display from the deep vaults of the Burke Museum and from private collections. Create beetle art, enjoy bug glasses, bug quizzes, and other fun stuff for the entire family at this buzzingly popular annual event.

Featuring Ciscoe Morris Plant Specialist at 1 pm
Bug Blast: Eek, Squish, Splat! Bugs don't get the respect they deserve. Plant specialist Ciscoe Morris of KUOW radio and KCTS TV will use bug puppets and pinned bugs to discuss how fascinating bugs are, and how important they are to our world. The puppet presentation focuses on the beneficial qualities of insects and will illustrate how bugs that are generally considered enemies of man have positive qualities as well. The talk is fun and informative, focusing mainly on local bugs. Although it's aimed at kids, there'll be plenty of stories, humor, and practical information on how to deal with garden critters that will keep adults interested as well.

Event included with admission. Free to members.

This event is co-sponsored by Scarabs: The Bug Society, with special thanks to Pacific Science Center.
