A Teacher Workshop presented in partnership with UW Botanic Gardens, Museum of History and Industry (MOHAI), and the Burke Museum.

How have Seattle's wetlands been impacted by humans and how have attitudes changed toward them? What adaptations enable certain plants and animals to thrive in wetlands? What is restoration ecology and how can you help your students understand and appreciate local wetland preservation?

Join us for a close-up look at wetland ecology, restoration, bird migration and the natural history of Union Bay. This workshop is geared for teachers of grades 4 – 8, but the content and activities are adaptable for other grade levels.
