The Burke Museum hosted an open house for educators and their guests on the evening of September 27, 2007. Sushi, drinks, and music provided the atmosphere for a fun evening that included free admission to all of the museum’s galleries as well as a special teacher workshop about the traveling exhibit, In Search of Giant Squid. Museum educators were on hand to demonstrate all that the museum has to offer teachers and students in the Pacific Northwest. Check our website for information about our next free open house for educators.

What participants said about the workshop:

“From the model (fantastic), to the books, displays and tour – I can’t wait to share these with the class…”

“I enjoyed the casual, interactive atmosphere – conducive to sharing ideas and enthusiasm.”

“This workshop was awesome!”

“What an awesome staff! Wherever did you find them?”
