Range in Washington: Eastern Washington.
Habitat: Grassland and sagebrush, some forests.
Diet: Carnivorous, especially rodents.
Habitats: Excavates rodent prey, including hibernating ground squirrels.
Identification: Striped head, powerful claws. Total length: 50-85 cm; tail: 10-16 cm; mass: 5-11 kg.
