Range in Washington: Cascades, Olympics.
Habitat: Montane forest.
Diet: Diverse rodents, rabbits, birds.
Habitats: Eats porcupines by flipping them over and feeding along the unprotected abdomen.
Identification: Dark brown, occasionally with grayish head. Total length: 80-100 cm; tail: 30-40 cm; mass: 2-8 kg.
Conservation Status: State Endangered; Federal Species of Concern.
