The Information School
Master of Science in Information Management (MSIM)

The MSIM program is a professional, mid-career degree integrating the areas of information management and information
technology and it is administered on Fridays and Saturdays. The signature and focus of the MSIM is a "human-centered perspective," i.e., the use of information
and technology to meet the "information needs of human beings" engaged in any endeavor.

Requirements |
Bachelors or higher degree from an accredited institution;
Transcripts of all academic study;
Recommended GPA of at least 3.0 in last 90 quarter (60 semester) undergraduate credits;
Professional experience; letters of recommendation;
Curriculum vitae; personal statement;
GRE/GMAT is also required by the Graduate School
TOEFL is required for all international students.

Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS)

The Master of Library and Information Science program is a 63-credit course of study which
prepares students to become leaders in various information settings including libraries and business, government, and non-profit organizations.
Core courses cover information behavior, information resources, organization of information and documents, information systems and retrieval,
the social context of information, management and administration, research methods, and instruction and training in library and information environments.

The evening part-time program and the distance program may be completed in approximately three years. |
