BECU Partnership

A commitment to community

The University of Washington is proud to partner with Boeing Employees Credit Union (BECU) to improve lives across the Evergreen State.

In the credit union tradition, BECU is dedicated to serving people from the Puget Sound to the Palouse — an ethos that dovetails with the UW’s mission as a public university.

The UW’s partnership with BECU will support the next generation of Washingtonians by creating opportunities for people from all backgrounds, inspiring groundbreaking innovation, encouraging entrepreneurship and promoting lifelong learning.

Together, we can create a better future for everyone in our state.

Advancing equity

Diversity and inclusion enrich the Husky Experience for everyone. Across Washington, BECU is expanding opportunities for students from underrepresented minority backgrounds through scholarships. BECU is also a proud supporter of the UW’s Office of Minority Affairs & Diversity and the UW Alumni Association’s MAP Bridging the Gap Breakfast.

Fueling innovation

We believe that providing a place and a way for researchers to connect, imagine and create will drive positive change for Washington and beyond. On campus, BECU is helping the UW advance this goal through the BECU Fintech Incubator @ CoMotion Labs, which will foster startups that explore how technology can improve financial activities.

Inspiring entrepreneurs

The Pacific Northwest is a magnet for entrepreneurs, and the UW and BECU are working to give budding businesses the resources they need to succeed. BECU is helping Huskies get their dreams off the ground through a number of efforts, from hosting financial wellness workshops to sponsoring the Buerk Center for Entrepreneurship’s annual Business Plan Competition.

Supporting continued learning

At BECU and the UW, we believe that learning has no age limit. Whether someone wants to advance their career or steer it in a new direction, BECU is helping Washington residents take the next step by covering fees for UW Continuum College certificate programs.
