Join us for a free lecture on the history of Seattle architecture - "Seattle Architecture and Urbanism: 1880- Present"

UW Professor and noted local architectural historian Jeffrey Ochsner will give a lecture on the history of the architecture and urban development in Seattle and nearby areas of the Puget Sound region. This lecture will offer a broad overview of the design history of Seattle over approximately the last 120 years. He will address some of the general trends and some of the specific individuals and firms that have contributed to shaping the built environment of the city and region.

Professor Ochsner is the author of books and articles on Seattle’s architectural history. He teaches a course on Seattle’s architectural history for the UW Department of Architecture in winter quarter each year.

This event is cosponsored by the University of Washington Alumni Association, College of Architecture and Urban Planning and the Seattle Architecture Foundation.
