The Department of Earth and Space Sciences invites you to our Open House on Friday, April 25, to participate in various informational and activity events.
Highlights include: Mineral Exhibit - spectacular specimens from the department collection; NASA resources and hands-on activities for the entire family - Educator Resource Center, WA NASA Space Grant Consortium; “Earthquakes and Volcanoes of the NW” - Seismology Lab Tours; “Geology in your Backyard” - bring your address and learn about your geological setting in the Puget Lowland; Solar Viewing; “Rock”ing Out - hands-on demonstrations for K-12 students; and, Geographical Information Systems - see why GIS is much more than maps
