Film showing and discussion of The Lady Eve (1941), directed by Preston Sturges and starring Henry Fonda and Barbara Stanwyck. The greatest -- and funniest -- romantic comedy every made. The Lady Eve skewers romance, respects romance, views romance from every angle, stressing adoration, stressing sex and stressing money. Professor Willis Konick will be introducing the film and leading the discussion afterwards.
