Campaign UW: Creating Futures aims to ensure that the UW and its students, faculty and staff have the resources to remain competitive among the world's top research institutions, and to broaden access to the University for more students.

The Campaign began in July 2000 with a goal of raising $2 billion over eight years. Thanks to the generous support of volunteers, alumni, community members and organizations, that milestone was reached on Jan. 26, 2007, more than 17 months ahead of schedule. After considering remaining needs and priorities identified by University schools, colleges, and campuses, the UW Foundation Board voted to increase the goal to $2.5 billion. The University aims to raise this additional $500 million, including substantial support for student scholarships, by June 30, 2008.
