Washington Weekend
Washington Weekend

Welcome from President Emmert

UW President Mark EmmertDear Alumni, Parents, Students, Staff, Faculty, Friends and Members of the UW community,
It is my pleasure to invite you to the 2nd annual Washington Weekend, April 27-29, 2006. Over these three days, our three campuses welcome you to rediscover and reconnect with the University of Washington.

Thanks to the quality and ambition of its people and programs – and the ongoing support of our alumni and friends – the UW continues to foster this intellectual spirit by pushing the frontiers of knowledge. You will sense this throughout the weekend, whether you visit the College of Engineering Open House, attend the lecture by Don Brownlee, who headed up NASA’s stunningly successful Stardust Mission, or check out what is going on in the Digital Arts Department.

Through your continued support and participation, we are creating better futures for our region and beyond. We are very proud to be able to open our doors and welcome you back for a taste of some of the amazing work taking place here at the UW.

I hope you and your family will take advantage of this opportunity to explore, enjoy and educate, and reconnect with your University.

Mark Emmert, '75
President
