Global Health Forum & Film Screening
Health Sciences Open House, Saturday, April 29th, Noon
John R. Hogness Auditorium (up the stairs from the Health Sciences Center Lobby)
What do we mean when we talk about Global Health? Come to the panel discussion with Dr. Stephen Bezruchka, Dr. Ann Marie Kimball, and Loyce Mbewa to hear about issues of global health awareness, emerging and infectious diseases, and how projects and research happening here at the UW are having an impact across the world. This promises to be an enlightening and inspiring discussion for those interested in careers in the health sciences and medical fields as well as those simply concerned about what's happening both in and outside of the borders of the United States. The PBS documentary series, Rx for Survival: A Global Health Challenge, will screen immediately following the lecture in Hogness Auditorium.
