Homecoming Rally
Volunteer Job Description

Program Description
The annual Homecoming Rally is UWAA's evening pep rally prior to the following day's Homecoming game. The event promotes tradition and camaraderie among alumni and students, encourages school spirit and welcomes alumni back to campus. Husky fans from all over the world converge on Red Square and paint it purple (figuratively, of course). In past years, the Rally has featured famous radio personalities, performances by the Husky Marching Band and Cheer Squad, pep talks by the football coach, and UW student Dawg Sleds (ordinary Costco carts transformed into decorated vehicles of Husky pride).

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Help set up and clean up event
  • Distribute giveaways such as pompoms, pizza, chips and drinks

Dates and Locations
The Rally is on Red Square the evening before the Homecoming football game. Set-up shifts start about 6 p.m. and the rally itself begins at 8 p.m.
