Program Description
The alumni association supports the UW in efforts to serve the community surrounding the Seattle campus. For many years the University Street Ministry has operated the Teen Feed program to address the problem of malnourishment among the University District's homeless youth population. Recently the program has been serving 40 to 50 homeless youth each evening.
Each Fall, the alumni association recruits 8 to 15 alumni and student volunteers to join a Teen Feed Meal Team serving homeless youth for one evening.
Duties and Responsibilities
Dates and Locations
On a date to be determind between September and December, at one of four University District churches (University Christian Church, University Lutheran Church, University Temple Methodist Church and University Congregational United Church of Christ).
